THE BRIEF

The Emirates Palace is an iconic symbol of luxury in Abu Dhabi – a royal hotel residence set on a pristine private beach. Mandarin Oriental announced its takeover of the flagship property and called upon ASTUDIO, a Full-Service Hospitality Marketing Agency, to develop a launch campaign to capture the brand essence in film and Photography Content.

It was paramount that Emirates Palace made a splash with its grand re-opening, and showed the different aspects of the hotel from its top-flight spa to Michelin-Starred restaurants.

OUR APPROACH

Leading the creative approach, our Production team directed and produced an exceptional one-of-a-kind long-format film with six teaser videos that showcase the hotel in an imaginative way. Our story takes the viewer through a series of fantastical scenes in which the lines of dreams and reality blur. Our female protagonist, dressed in a liquid gold dress reminiscent of the Mandarin Oriental branding, stumbles across the scenes, which are all possibilities of how a guest could choose to spend their time during their unique stay at the Emirates Palace. The promise? Whatever your wish, it’s all made possible here.

THE RESULTS

For Mandarin Oriental’s first hotel launch in Abu Dhabi and to re-establish the Emirates Palace as a landmark, we created a Video Production featuring an evocative and full of life edit, along with shorter, captivating videos, which were shared across all social media platforms, each selling the idea that a stay at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental goes beyond the limits of any other hotel experience. Photography was also used in a 360-degree campaign including PR.
